the catcher in the rye

im really digging this book so far. i fear my english class will completely murder it though. everyone is too opinionated, yet extremely ignorant to the actually feelings salinger writes about. discussion should be interesting.

People that interest me talk about books. Why they liked it or who the characters reminded them off. I don't care if the book had foreshadowing or began in media res. What I want to know is how they related to it and how it affected them.
